Almost forgotten.
This fabulous group of beautiful souls were put together from horses that were bid on, then passed on; one even made his way to Florida, only to be passed on a second time, so we brought him back home to Colorado. This herd are horses that were unknown, just a number, never given a name until we brought them home. This herd is a mare, a beautiful frightened mare, relinquished due to the trainers inability to handle her. This herd are horses, which at the last minute, were zero bids, no value to anyone, so we bid on them, and now they have worth and value to us. This herd are horses in which people felt connected to, and reached out to us to see if we would bring them home. This herd are sale authority horses; the older horses, most likely to be the last chosen, if chosen at all.
Well, we chose them. Banditas chose them. Banditas chose these horses because it wasn't about taking high profile horses for us. It wasn't about having the most popular horses from the range. We chose them because it was about saving horses that may not have had a chance otherwise, and each and every one are loved and valued beyond measure. These 10 horses were "not forgotten" and are now creating new family bonds. Still a little bit wild, and way more free than they would have been if left in the Canon City holding facility.
Located in Livermore Colorado, this herd has room to roam on natural terrain. While they have grass to graze they are always supplemented with plenty of grass hay and whatever else they may need in their dietary needs.
Ponder this, If you were a wild horse and run through an auction, competing against younger horses, stronger horses, more beautiful horses, and popular horses, would you be chosen?
